Hi, I'm Claire. Currently, I'm a freelance product designer at Auby, a mobile app for audio discovery and micro-learning.
Two years ago I made a career switch from higher ed to UX. Instead of studying design in the abstract, I felt compelled to be the designer. UX sits at the intersection of two things I've always been passionate about; making things and caring for people. I have a MA in Design History from Parsons School of Design where I developed the belief that understanding your user is core to the design process and making good design.
As a designer I create well-crafted, research-based solutions. Known to get usability right the first time, I strive to improve people's daily lives through thoughtful experiences.
Away from my computer I enjoy hiking, cooking and making terrible jokes.
